Aluminum Welding
Welding aluminum is a unique challenge in the fabrication world compared to that of more common materials such as steel. There are a number of extra steps that go into this process in order to avoid poor chemical reactions and cracking. At Valley Fabrication, we have an in-house Quality Assurance Manager and an American Welding Society accredited training facility in order to ensure we’re taking the right precautions and steps with any of your unique materials. Our team of fabricators are trained on the proper steps for welding aluminum including selection of the correct filler metals, proper storage and thorough cleaning of the base material.
Prior to selecting your vendor, be sure to understand their certifications when it comes to welding aluminum because a welding certification is not one size fits all. If this is a new project and you are not sure what type of material is best, we can work with you on the pros and cons of each material type – helping you come to the right decision for your facility.
